Why We Built This

A passion project to make finding a financial advisor actually transparent.

We built AdvisorDiscover because we believe choosing a financial advisor should be transparent and straightforward. The SEC requires advisors to file detailed disclosures through Form ADV, but this valuable data has traditionally been buried in lengthy PDFs and scattered across government databases. We've made it searchable and accessible.

This is a free tool. We don't make any money from it. No referral fees, no advertising, no "premium" listings, no selling your data. We believe everyone deserves easy access to all public information so they can find the advisor that is right for them.

What You Can Do Here

Search & Filter

Find advisors by location, total estimated fee, minimum investment, specialties, firm size, existing client count, and more.

See Growth Trends

Track how firms have grown over time—assets, clients, and AUM per client.

Check Disclosures

See if an advisor has any regulatory issues or disciplinary actions on record.

Understand Fees

Know upfront if an advisor is fee-only or earns commissions on products they sell you.

Where does this data come from?

Information comes directly from official SEC filings—Form ADV submissions that advisors are legally required to file. We've made it searchable and easy to use. No editorializing, no rankings based on who pays more. Just the facts.
