Fees are determined by the client's engagement agreement and can be structured as a flat/fixed fee, hourly, or based on the aggregate market value of advised accounts. Asset-based fees generally range from 0.20% to 1.00% annually, but can exceed this range. Fees are negotiable and may be waived in certain situations. Clients are billed quarterly, either in advance or arrears. The use of margin may increase advisory fees.
