Financial planning fees range from $1,500 to $75,000 or more, or an hourly rate of $75 to $250 plus expenses. Investment portfolio management fees are 2.5% for accounts with assets of $1 million and under, and 2.25% for accounts with assets in excess of $1 million. Clients may opt to pay a flat fee for portfolio management services. Insurance consulting is performed at an hourly rate. Portfolio evaluation services are offered on a flat-fee basis, typically around $1,500. Seminar fees are negotiated. Emerson Equity receives a percentage of the advisory fee the client pays to third-party investment advisers, up to 2%.
