Fee Structure
Asset management fees range up to 2.5% annually, billed quarterly in advance. Flat fees are also used, generally up to $10,000 annually. Financial planning and consulting are charged hourly (up to $1,000/hour) or flat fee ($1,500 to $10,000). Pension consulting is charged hourly (up to $1,000/hour), flat fee ($1,000 to $10,000), or percentage of assets (up to 2.5%). A retainer of 50% is generally required for financial planning, not exceeding $1,200 when services can't be rendered within six months.
