CUSO Financial Services (CFS) provides investment advisory services through its Contour wrap fee platform. Contour offers multiple program options, including Advisor as Portfolio Manager (APM), Fund Strategist Portfolios (FSP), Separately Managed Accounts (SMA), and Unified Managed Accounts (UMA). CFS has an agreement with Envestnet for administrative services.
Fee Structure
Contour is a wrap fee program, meaning a single fee covers advisory services and transactions. The total fee includes a program fee, an advisory fee, and potentially a manager fee (for FSP, SMA, and UMA programs). The advisory fee is negotiable with your IAR, but cannot exceed 2.25% in APM or 2.00% in FSP, SMA, and UMA (1% for annuity subaccount management in APM). The program fee is non-negotiable. Manager fees range from 0.00% to 0.75%. Fees are billed monthly based on the average daily balance. "Householding" multiple accounts can help qualify for lower fees. There may be IRA annual maintenance fees, custodial fees, and other ancillary charges.
